Jaygott Psychotherapy - 124 Merton Street, Suite 500, Toronto, ON, M4S 2Z2
My life experiences are an expression of my belief that 'Life is about the journey, not the destination'. My own journey includes lifelong learning and diverse life experiences - including professional leadership in education, multifaith community programming, and my ongoing practice as a lawyer - so I know that life journeys also come with deep challenges such as relationship conflict, trauma, shame, struggles with meaning, fears, and finding balance.
My journey in the work world has always been focused on supporting and serving others. After several years in the financial services industry, I transitioned into my role as the education director in a community based education program. My ongoing practice of self-reflection and personal learning led me on my journey to becoming a lawyer in 2011. For many years, I have practiced in the areas of criminal law, litigation, child protection, and family law, providing services to private and legal aid clients situated in diverse populations and communities.
I have experience sitting with sacred plant medicines and guiding individuals in preparation for and integration of their own sacred journeys through contemplative and compassionate practices. My own journey, including engaging in my own therapeutic process, has shown me that to heal, we must experience our 'Self' fully, even the parts we fear, avoid, or feel confused about. My intention is to meet you where you are, with humility, curiosity, and an open mind, body, and spirit.
