Jaygott Psychotherapy - 124 Merton Street, Suite 500, Toronto, ON, M4S 2Z2
Our Fee is $145.00 per 50-minute session. HST is not applicable to individual therapy sessions.
I offer a free initial phone consultation for us to learn more about each other and to answer any questions you may have.
While sessions can vary in length, a typical session is 50 minutes. Therapy can be short-term or long-term, depending on your needs and many other factors, which we will collaborate on and decide together.
Sessions are available both in person and online/virtual and we offer flexible schedule options for daytime and evening appointments.
Psychotherapy services are not covered by OHIP. If you have insurance/benefits through work or from a private company, please review your policy wording and/or contact your insurer as many providers offer coverage for psychotherapy provided by a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario.
Also note that the cost of non-reimbursed psychotherapy services may be eligible as a medical expense for tax credit on your income tax return.
Jason is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), registration #13850.
We accept payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, & American Express) or E-transfer. Payment is due at each session.
Your session is booked specifically for you and there are other clients who may need this time if you are not able to attend. As such, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice for appointment cancellations. If you do not provide notice at least 24 hours before your session, or you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, you will be required to pay the full fee for your session.

Attending your first therapy appointment can bring a mix of emotions, and it's common to feel a combination of anxiety, anticipation, and curiosity. The first session typically includes a review of administrative items such as scheduling, fees, confidentiality, and consent. The remainder of the session involves getting to know you, sharing of your story and journey, reasons for coming to therapy, and clarifying goals and expectations for what you hope to achieve for your time in therapy. Remember that the first session is just the beginning of your therapeutic journey. It's okay if you don't cover everything in one session, and your therapist will work with you to gradually explore and understand your concerns over subsequent sessions.
It is a priority for us to support access to therapy no matter your financial situation. To support this value, we offer limited reduced-rate sessions for those that qualify. If cost is a concern for you, then ask about this during our initial consultation.
There is no set timeline that applies universally for therapy and it's important to approach therapy with realistic expectations. Just as each person is unique, your therapy experience will be unique, including the number of sessions that may work for you. While some people find significant relief and progress in a relatively short time, others may benefit from a more extended period of therapeutic support. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will continuously assess and discuss your progress, adjusting goals and strategies as needed for a plan that feels best for you.
We do not provide emergency services. If you are in an emergency, in crisis or need someone to talk to, please call 911, go to your local emergency department, or contact one of the following distress lines:
